WHAT WE COLLECT

To look after your hair properly and manage your bookings, we collect a small amount of personal information from you — either in the salon, over WhatsApp, over the phone, or through this website.

  • Contact detailsYour name, phone number and email address.
  • Appointment historyThe services you have booked with us, the stylist you saw and any notes about your hair (colour formulas, previous treatments, sensitivities).
  • Payment informationPayments are processed by our in-salon card machine. We do not store your card details.
  • Website informationBasic technical information (like your device type and light/dark mode preference) is stored locally on your device to keep the site working correctly. We also use Google Analytics, but only if you agree to it — see section 06. We do not run advertising trackers.
02

WHY WE COLLECT IT

We only use your information for reasons directly related to being a client of the salon.

  • To confirm, reschedule or remind you about appointments.
  • To keep an accurate record of your colour history and hair care so future services are consistent.
  • To respond to enquiries you send us by phone, WhatsApp, email or through our contact page.
  • To let you know about salon news, offers or new services — only if you have opted in.
  • To meet our accounting, tax and legal obligations.
03

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We do not sell your personal information. Ever.

We share it only with the people and services we need to run the salon: our stylists and support team; our booking, card-payment and accounting providers; and, if the law requires it, the relevant authorities.

Any third parties who handle your information on our behalf are required to protect it and use it only for the purpose we asked them to.

Two parts of this website load content from Google. Our pages use a Google-hosted icon font, and the map on our home and contact pages is a Google Map — but the map only loads once you choose to open it. When either loads, Google receives your IP address and basic browser details, in the same way it would if you had opened Google Maps yourself. We do not send Google anything about you.

04

HOW WE KEEP IT SAFE

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Digital records are held in access-controlled systems, and paper records are kept securely in the salon.

We keep your information for as long as you are a client and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can honour our records-keeping obligations and pick up where we left off if you return.

05

YOUR RIGHTS

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Ask us to delete your information, subject to any legal record-keeping obligations we still have.
  • Object to us using your information for direct marketing at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe your rights have been infringed.

COOKIES & ANALYTICS

This website uses essential local storage — for example, to remember whether you prefer light or dark mode, and to remember the cookie choice you make below. Those are not used to track you and are never shared.

We would also like to use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site, so we can improve it. This is not essential, and we only load it if you agree. Until you accept, nothing is sent to Google Analytics at all — not your IP address, not the pages you visit, nothing. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, it is never loaded.

If you do accept, Google Analytics sets cookies on your device and receives your IP address (shortened before it is stored), the pages you view and basic details about your browser and device. We use it only to see how the site is performing overall. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we cannot identify you personally from it.
